Terms of Service
1. Payment Terms
We require customers to put a credit card on file and pay a $100 deposit in order to secure a spot on our schedule. The remaining balance is due in full at the completion of service. We can simply charge the credit card on file or you can pay by check or cash. There will be a $50 fee for any returned check. We will always provide you a receipt for payment. By default, this will be emailed to you, but a paper copy can be requested if you prefer.
Our primary method of communication with you will be through email. We will send you appointment confirmations and reminders as well as invoices and receipts, all through email. On your scheduled appointment day you will receive a text message when we are on the way, assuming you provide us a cell phone number. If no cell number is provided, we will call the phone number on file to give you a heads-up that we are on our way. Feel free to text us at 317-937-7799 or call our office at 317-777-5415. 3. Weather-Related Issues
Obviously we can’t control Mother Nature. There will be times that rescheduling will be necessary due to poor weather conditions. That being said, we really try to hold tight to the schedule. Light rain or the threat of rain generally isn’t enough to warrant a rescheduling. (Rain will not affect the results of the cleaning). Prolonged heavy rains, severe storms, high winds and icy conditions could prompt rescheduling on our part. Ultimately, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service, so we will communicate with you in the event of a weather issue.
4. Other Rescheduling Scenarios
We do not charge you a service fee for last-minute rescheduling that we initiate. We are flexible and easy to work with and do not charge you a service fee for any rescheduling issues if done within 24 hours of your service appointment. We do send out appointment reminders, so if you “simply forgot” when our crew arrives at your door and need to reschedule or cancel, you will be billed a $200 rescheduling fee. In the event that other contractors (construction/painting/landscaping/etc.) impede our ability to complete our work a $200 inconvenience fee will be assessed. Oftentimes, a customer will schedule a house cleaner at the same time as our appointment. Traditionally we have been able to work with/around these folks without a problem, so there’s no need to schedule these appointments separately.
5. Water Usage
By signing this agreement, you agree to provide A-1 Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing Service LLC the right to use an on-site water supply as needed, without compensation, to complete the stated project. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and in working order before we arrive. Additional charges may be applied if water is not available.
6. Electrical Usage
By signing this agreement, you agree to provide A-1 Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing Service LLC the right to use an on-site source of electricity, without compensation, as needed to complete the stated project. If an outside source is required it will be at an additional charge.
While A-1 Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing Service LLC is on location and performing work on your property, you are responsible for keeping all children and pets, as well as other individuals away from the work areas. For roof cleaning and house washing jobs, children and pets must be kept away from work areas for at least 6 hours after our work is completed. This is for their safety as well as our own.
8. Photo Release
You authorize A-1 Window Cleaning Service or its representatives to photograph your home for use in marketing materials. This could include but not be limited to print, digital, online and social media. Your name and address will not be shared. We will take care not to capture any individuals in our photos.
9. Yard Sign
You authorize A-1 Window Cleaning Service or its representatives to place a sign in your yard up to one week prior to your scheduled cleaning and one week after.
We ask that you open window treatments and raise blinds where applicable. We take no responsibility for damages that may occur to blinds or window treatments that we have to move.
11. Moving of Customer Property
Removal and replacement of grills, deck furniture, planters and any other items are the responsibility of the homeowner. This includes items and furniture inside the home. Should we need to remove items from work areas, we will not be responsible for any damage, breakage or for storage issues. An additional charge may be applied for time and labor devoted to the moving of these items.
A-1 Window Cleaning and Pressure Washing Service LLC is not responsible for damages due to improperly installed siding, loose shingles or siding, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters and leaders, and improper caulking. In every aluminum siding case and in some cases with vinyl siding, the sun and weather will cause oxidation. Cleaning of oxidized areas may reveal discoloration. These areas are not the responsibility of A-1, however we may be able to fix them with a restoration process for an additional charge. A-1 will not be responsible for loose mortar or concrete that may dislodge during the cleaning process. A-1 expects your property to be in good repair and weather tight. This includes, but is not limited to all electrical service including receptacles and light fixtures. Doors and windows shall also be weathertight. A-1 is not responsible for damages as a result of water infiltration from poor or improper installation, maintenance or repair of electrical-related items or doors or windows. A-1 cannot guarantee removal of artillery fungus from exterior house surfaces.
